First my dads GN goes down with a damaged crank and thrust bearing, apparently caused by torque converter ballooning. shortly after, my TTA fell victim to the exact same thing. and now, another local GN has gone down for the exact same reason.
jack of JL enterprises is trying to figure out whats causing this. last i heard his current theory is motor oil possibly. my dad and i both use mobil 1 synthetic. i dont know what was in the other GN. this is apparently a problem with cars using the stock converter.
so, if you have a stock converter, be mindful just in case
