Hey guys, just to let you all know HPP Nov 2010 has a 4 page spread on the TTA. It says in the article that the tta has a hydrualic roller cam and a 10 bolt rear end, I thought tta had 9. NOt sure though. Anyways it has cool pics.

You beat me to it. I just recieved my issue yesterday. A friend from work told me it had a spread on the TTA so i checked it out as soon as I got home today. It also has About Jim Wangers collection from the RM auction. His didnt sell. High bid was $31,900. its on page 11(Four Nines Beat a Full House). Does anybody know the owner of the TTA featured in HPP( John Klaver of Ocala, Florida) if so get him on the Forum and out to Ohio next Year. Car was originally from Easton, PA.

You can normally find it at Barnes and Noble I believe. I just got mine in the mail last weekend so I'm not sure if it's on the shelves yet.


Jarred - Yes the TTAs do have a 9 bolt and they use a flat tappet cam. A lot of people switch to a roller cam when they do a cam swap, but no one really switches to the 10 bolt they normally either get a 9" or 12 bolt.
 
Wow!, You mean a journalist got something wrong? I find that hard to believe?
 
The roller cam was discussed in some promotional materials and maybe the brochure. Unfortunately it never made it into the engine:boxed:. It may have freed up a few horsepower and saved on some wear.

Great issue of HPP with the TTA article and THE BANDIT RUN coverage. The Snowman Truck will be here in town for a few weeks. Going to get some great pictures with truck as a backdrop.

The TTA brochure mention it got a roller cam ... possibly some of the detailed early press releases as well (have to take a look and see).

Hope my issue of HPP shows up sooner rather than later; not everyday there's anything about the TTAs in there

All you experts missed the mistake on the tires.
The cars didn't come with the 245-50VR16 Gaterbacks.
They came with the higher speed rating 245-50-ZR16 Gaterbacks.
The VRs were last used in 1988 by Pontiac, in the Trans Ams with the 16 inch wheels.

I caught the mistake George and I didn't even see the magazine...they're called Gatorbacks! :WOOT:

Got mine yesterday, nice article and nice pictures.

PAS out of Van Nuys, CA .... wrong :-)

Some minor mistakes but all in all really good article and about time !
