This winter is seems to be goin on forever and man am I bored. I am waiting forgets snow to melt so I can drive my TTA to the shop and have a bung welded in the exhaust for a wideband. Gonna run the TT 6.0 along with a PL.

This weekend I was changing oil and washing cars but it's not as fun when ya can't go drive them around after.

I hear ya. Friday it was 60 degrees, ALL the snow melted. Started my car and revved it up a bit-everything sounds and looks good. Right now, another storm is moving thru, 6+ inches of snow, expected. It aint over yet. All your cars look great-looks like you have a big garage to move around in. Nice.

Very nice Jarred!

The Ford doesn't work for me but it's still cool. Maybe you should consider moving to Texas.:beach:
Just saying!

I started the 1982 TA yesterday - that was it though. There is still too much salt on the roads here, and it snowed again today.

BTW - Jarred - how big is that garage?

OOOPS! At first look I thought is was a stang. What is that bad boy? It really looks good. I'm afraid that I don't keep up with fine cars that I could't own in my wildess dreams.

Yup, garage is very big. I don't know exactly but very big.
The RX8 is a really fun car, but doesn't accelerate like a turbo Buick that's for sure. Man I'm just itching to get out there and burn around town. And trust me, if I could get a job in Texas I'd be there.

I may attempt to install my detent plate into the shifter one of these nights since I'm out of cars to wash. I just hate removing the plastic console thing as I had to get three consoles to make one good one and I'm afraid of breaking or cracking the plastic.

Jarred.

Rx8 is a Mazda, that one is a 2006. The new ones are a little different in the front. They have s rotory engine with only two spark plugs. They rev very high to 10k rpm. They have suicide doors and are insured as a 4 door sedan so it's really cheap. I paid more ins on a two door cavalier than this car

Thanks Jerrod,

I worked with a guy that had an Rx 7 I think. It was a turbo car with one of those Wangkle rotory motors. He was always blowing out the Oring.

Hey no prob Frenkt.

I don't have a turbo on mine, car is totally stock, not even a cold air intake.

Your kiddin right! My name is spelled Frank. I did the best I could trying to spell the name of the rotory motor.
The car I was talking about was a sports car and came with a turbo stock. It was quick but, evidently, it had a problem blowing out the oring seal. At least, that's what my friend that owned the car told me. Both his car and the one that's in the post picture have beautiful lines.

ya I really like the way the car looks, and it is somewhat modern in my array of cars from the 80's. It's nice to have a car that I don't really have to worry about any break downs or methanol or what ever. I juist jump in and go, it's great for road trips, but grown men don't fit well in the back seat, its more of a two seater unless teh passangers are small children/women.
ps: I was just having fun with how you spelt my name while it was quoted directly above lol

I think its called the Apex seals that go bad on those wankles

Ya Rob it is reallyyyyy cold here hey????
Man I can't wait! I have had enough!
TTA299 I think you are right, I have heard of guys losing the apex seal and then lose compression. Motor is junk after that happens.

Rodimus glad ya like that GTA, me and my sister drove all the way to Sheiden WYoming to get that baby. That is a great car, my gf and I drove it to Vegas last Sept and not one problem. I was more worried about theft than the car breaking down. Everyone thought I was crazy driving a 23 year old car so far.

DAMN -31 this morning ... someone has really pissed off mother nature around here !!!

I know what you mean about the theft thing, when I brought the TTA home, driving all the way from Dallas/Fort Worth .... some places we stopped .... didn't get much sleep. In October I picked up a 1996 WS6 Formula Firebird .... so I think the TTA won't get out as much this year, but then again who knows, I will be road racing the 96 ... things can and DO happen. I don't know about you, but I enjoy getting out and about with the cars, I guess that's why I started a new car club here in Calgary 2 years ago, we go all over the place, considering the crappy weather last summer, we still managed to go over 2000 miles on club events .... I say .... if ya got em ... drive em !!!

Major YAWN!

It was in the low 70's today, clear sky. It will be that way for the rest of the winter and fall. What is it that keeps you folks in a deep freeze. There's plenty of jobs and a lot of beautiful scenery and we ain't going broke. The food is great and there's plenty of housing, probably half the price your paying now. Come to Texas but, don't act and talk like a yankee! That really don't go over well down here.:cowboy:
