1401 HP/1127 TQ

Nice. I want to magna charge a 99-04 Vette and alky inject it. Kinda cheap to do and they make shit-tons of power on pump gas. Pretty Big bang for the buck, but I'm thinking of building a garage instead...DontKnow:

Check out the new hotrod magazine. They feature a 1000 c.i. V8.
Naturally aspirated makes over 1000 hrs and over 1000 ft. tq. The pistons are massive.

A C5 with a D1SC procharger and meth will make 600 to the tire.

I wouldn't want a maggie on a car of mine...

Would rather used a vortech style design? The Magna install looks like a kid could do it, the only negative is that you have to get a different hood to clear the unit.

Oh yeah, that motor in Hotrod mag make 2000 hrp, I just looked again.

Yes a centrifugal supercharger, in my opinion, is better in everyway then the top mount style.

Sure, the top mount makes full boost at 3000 RPM's, but it also makes 170 degree IAT's at 3000 rpms and the power peaks at that point.

600HP to the tire is more then you will be able to use on the street anyway...

Yeah, I see why the new Zr1 has an intercooler underneath it. I think the magna has an option for an intercooler, but I'm not positive. I know that the Vortech has a intercooler option. But the alky would help in keeping detonation down. But I see what you mean, I didn't know the temps.

The LS stuff is looking more attractive to me these days.

The ZR1 is relatively tapped out at 700 HP. You can gain more but the driveability will suffer and racegas is a must.

The maggie style blowers can't utilize meth that well. If I had one I would use meth, but since the air is compressed post nozzle, you are only cooling the air that is ingested, IE ambient air plus 10 or so.

With a centri unit it is just like the turbo. blower to intercooler to alky to engine. So 50 degree IAT's.

Take a look at ECS and A&A corvette websites. They have a full layout of their kit and it will clear up a lot of things.

I would run a procharger, but I am kinda biased.

O and btw, you want to know what the intercooler is on the ZR1? It looks JUST like a heater core......lol

That's a great point, never thought of that. Then I defintately would run the vortech design.
