Got a stock turbo tweak chip my boost in red?

Just installed a turbo tweak stock chip in my TTA
My boost gauge seems to go into the red zone !
I cant tell if its detonating i dont have a scan tool , my boost prior to install was up at 18-19 if anyone can assist give me a buzz!

You are definitely knocking @ 18/19# in 3rd gear.

You really need a scantool. Order a scanmaster from full throttle speed before u blow it up.

Turn it down to 15# till you get a scanmaster.

I agree, turn the boost down and get a scanmaster. You don't want to blow a headgasket or do other damage to the motor from knock from todays bad gas. Here is a pic of a blown headgasket, not a good thing!!!

Nobody should be relying on the factory boost gauge...they are notoriously inaccurate.

Stay out of it period untill you hear from someone on the forum Got it ? it may be a good lesson to replace the H.G if you want a real good understanting of how the motor works keeep pushing it without a S.M .Stop, look and read , there is a ton of info here....:whistle: i'm sure when you look at everything you will be impressed :dance: just like i was, this site rocks ttarider

Mike is right ,TT is your first stop , lots to learn there

Until you get handle on the tuning of your car. You can run a hose from the turbo straight to the wastegate and that should give you about 12 psi of boost. This will let you drive the car but stay out of any boost that would cause damage. This old school gn trick has helped many drive their car while working out problems such as fuel pressure, vaccuum leaks, weak coil pack, ignition module, exhaust related knock, etc. Good luck.
