1 bar v. 2 bar v. 3 bar MAP

According to my trusty slide rule here :wheelchair: ...

1 bar = 14.50377 psi
2 bar = 29.00775 psi
3 bar = 43.51132 psi

Let us know if you hit 40+ psi :shock:

But the TTAs did get the 3 bar sensors.

ok here is my theory on why the GNs came with a 2 bar map and the TTAs used a 3 bar. Typically a sensor is most accurate when it is being used at about 1/2 of it's range or a little less. So the GN ran 13 psi stock which doubled would be 26 psi keeping it on the lower half of the range for a 2 bar map. Where as the TTA running 16.5 psi stock doubled would be 33 psi so they went with the 3 bar just to keep it safe, and give it more playing room and stay within a accurate reading level.
When switching to alcohol injection they anticipate you to increase your boost some even if everything is stock so switching to a 3 bar map sensor is necessary to keep you close to the 1/2 way point of the range.
