Guys I'm about to order the seat covers from JAX, new carpet and headliner from Hawks. Does anyone have any tip/tricks for recovering the seats? What about carpet and headliner? What are the colors I need to order?
Does anybody have a paint code for the T-Top trim? The parts that are toward the front of the car need repainting and the the sides are faded from the sun.

Looks like it's gonna be a month before my paint guy is ready for the car.

Thinking I may put heads and a roller cam in the meantime.

Done all that, and more :-) The JAX seatcovers I had installed by a local upholstory guy ... turned out pretty good. I guess hardest part would be to get the bolsters sewed in properly otherwise it should be a no bariner with the hog plier (not sure if thats what its called) and some paitience to properly strect the material to look good.

The t-top trim I painted in semi gloss black and it turned out pretty close to the OEM paint. The t-top roof bar I had powder coated semi gloss black and I think the OEM one was it bit more glossy ...

Carpet I got from Carmotorsports.com and it needs trimming but do fit pretty well, not 100% like the original I must say but quality is really good. If you order from Hawks the color should be beechwood.

I'm installing a complete roller cam setup (CompCam) wiht roller rockers (Harland Sharp) as I'm rebuidling my engine as I write this.

What about the carpet from Hawks? I have to order the spoiler, headliner, sail panels, and visors anyway. Anyone got their carpet kit?
Next is a Dual BB 6776 turbo. That oughta make it interesting!

Jan what cam you putting in?

Shit I'm aggravated! I can't get no one to paint this friggin car!!!! The two painters I trust has at least two to three week wait. Looks like it's gonna run over $4k for the job I want. I'm gonna order all the stuff from Hawk's this Monday coming. So at least I can get the ball rolling on the interior. With higher projected cost of the paint, it looks like I may be going with Hawks seat covers.

What's pissing me off is I may not have the car ready for BG. You know body shops project completion dates and never get them dead on.

Just rambling on here, I have an assload of cash and nothing to do with it. Anybody want #1240 and 8 large for a car with lower milage?????????:WOOT:

I'm putting in CompCams Revolution X Roller Cam Kit with a 206/210 cam. Got a complete set from fullthrottle talk to Mike and he will sort you out. If you go the roller rocker route as well then contack the guys at Harland Sharp directly as they put together a specific TTA setup for this and they are very helpful.

I know how it feels ... waiting for my engine back since end of last year

Anyway, all I can recommend take your time doing this and don't push the guys so you end up with a rush job .... rather have it done and miss BG then getting a crap job done in the end ... specially with the $$$ you're putting in.

$4k sounds pretty good, I paid (on this side of the pond and of course labour rates are lower in the states than here in the UK) about $5000 (this was nearly 3 years ago) then when I had the engine bay done last year along wiht some other bits that ran close to $1000.

And then my engine .... more $$$$ ....

Anyway, as I said take your time and opt for a good quality end result than trying to push it just to make a show date.

For the hawks seat covers, I would try to wait and save some more $$$ and get the leather covers from JAX.

I wouldn't rush painters. I figure 3 months minimum for a good job. Always be friendly with them and stop by and check on it.

That's the problem. I don't have three months. I'll be on nights 7 days a week for 6 months. That's starting in late May.
I put the car up for sale on TB.com. I have a chance to get my old car back (low 10 second GN) so I think I'm gonna do that or trade up for the right car. Ever since I sold that GN I have been on a quest to replace it, should have never sold it. I love the TTA, but it's not my GN. I offered to trade up just to see what's out there, but I don't think anyone will have anything for me. I would trade for another low milage TTA plus cash. Hint, Hint.
