2 Car shows today with the TTA

Took the old girl out to 2 shows today. One at a local Chevrolet dealer 8am to 3pm. They put on a great show. Free shirt, free hat, free food, free water, tons of nice door prizes. Was a nice judged show and took a top 40 award there. Next show was from 3:30 to 8pm. This was a large show in a small town in NJ. Great food in those small town places. Awards were people's choice. The TTA never seems to do good in those shows. Folks kinda brush it off as a GTA and walk right past it. Took a stock award from that show surprisingly.

So 2 shows and 2 wins for the TTA people! Any TTA show win is a win for all of us! Keeping the cars out there in the people's eyes is where it's at so others can enjoy them too! Still trying to use up the 2 year old fuel in the tank! Almost down to 1/4 tank so I can give it some fresh gas.

Congrats Jim on the wins today!! I went to a car show myself with the TTA today, about 75 cars, had a few nice compliments. As I was sitting there behind the car I kept thinking about the TTA reunion and what a great time and camaraderie we all had. Today just wasnt the same. Lets do it again sometime!

Yeah, my buddy called me ans said there was a nice TTA there. I was going to shoot over after racing at Englishtown, but got lazy.

That was me Gregg! Only one there. I was kinda shocked how many people were checking out the car at Riverside. For some reason it was getting a lot of attention. The last few years I've had my GN there. First time for the TTA.

Jan no pics sorry buddy! My stupid Iphone battery is on the way out so I try not to use it much. I was up and out early that day and walked right past my camera too. Long day that's for sure but it was nice to put some miles on the TTA. "knock on wood" it's one of the best all around running and looking cars I have! :)

Congratulations Jim

How can I get ahold of when and where these shows are? Guess I have to be able to drive first huh!

I'm still salty about that Fredrick's show with your car. Poor show judges that don't have their $hit together makes me insane! Nothing drives me more nuts when the wrong cars get the wrong awards. I don't expect to win all the time with my cars but when these shows have poor judges it just makes me nuts esp when it's a friends car!!

I'll try to post up when there are some local big shows Lynn. We have some good ones up this way for sure! The next big one is the event in Cecil!

I hear ya. Thats why when I judge a show its dead nuts honest and done to the very best of my ability...Nothing stinks more then getting beat by an every day driver car when your car is detailed to the extreme..

The thing that even more made me nuts was my friend John was out in his Vette all night in the rain the night before drinking and cruising around in the rain. He comes home, washes the car, goes to the show, and wins over your car that's never even seen the rain! Oh well like you said you live and learn who can judge cars and who can't! Hopfully we'll have some TTA's at the Cecil event next month since your the TTA expert now!

Jim, Its understandable why you won 2 wins this weekend. I saw your car at the reunion, it is very sharp.

I just wish the TTA got more respect at the general car shows, they deserve it. All we can do is show our cars and make a statement.:hooray:

Thanks Mike! Just like you said, you have to keep showing them so others can enjoy them and keep them out in the lime light! Like I said above, I was really surprised how many were into my car at the 2nd show. Every time I turned around someone was checking it out. I actually had a hard time taking down my window sticker and other items because people were always reading them. I hate to take that stuff down when others are enjoying it. I almost wish I could have a video playing in front of the car with the building of the TTA's! :)
