......i was on my way to Macy's to buy a new VCR. when passing by the local Pontiac dealership i saw a white GTA looking car sitting on the front line. i noticed the "wing & wheel" logo behind the front tire and BINGO! sure enough, it's an 89 TTA. i thought, i need to go look and check this thing out. needless to say on my way back and some two hour's later, i was the proud new owner of a 1989 20th Anniversary Trans Am!

it was November 8th 1992...20 years ago today....

Man your car looks great in that pic! Nice to hear you have had your car 20 years, so many owners are short term.

Parish,
Man time flys!

I was looking at your picture of your TTA, I noticed two other TAs. Is the Red 73 a SD?

Great story and good for you keeping her all these years. VCR-so old school-had to laugh-I found a stack of vhs tapes the other day in my closet. I am having fun trying to transfer all of them to DVD.

Nice! I sure don't remember exact dates I bought my cars. I am having trouble remembering years at this point - sucks to get old.

nice car was that 2500.00 check four car ?

i had a choice in 89 to buy one new and pay cash or put the $$$ down on a house..... i chose the house. i think at the time my car was maybe the third one i had ever seen up to that point. no doubt i love these cars and feel fortunate i've been able to keep it all this time.....i remember telling the salesman about the decals these cars should have and told them to throw in a set with the deal and he did. still got them too.....in 94 i thought about trading it in for a 25th T/A.....sure glad i didn't make that move.....sadly,after many years in business the dealership is long gone....

Time flies for sure, I'm on 12 years with mine ...

Heck,
I want to know about the Lucerne Blue 1970 Trans Am!
I bought my 20th TTA brand new.
Knew about the year before, and put down $26,000 in Oct/Sept of '88.
In January of '89, I bought my 1970 Lucerne Blue Trans Am with a Ram Air IV top end.
I also got the original Ram Air III heads and intake.
I have since picked up a 1970 WW coded Ram Air IV block.
Still haven't put it all together yet. ;)

Great story Parish! Didn't know that Bossbird TA was your handle on here. It's been quite a few years since running into you at the TA Nats and swapping stories. And even though I don't have my TTA anymore I'm still lurking about on this forum. DontKnow:

On a related note I just had an anniversary on my latest Pontiac, my G8 GXP. Been just over a year now since I picked her up.

Happy Anniversary! :cake:
