Maybe a cool ride. I like the twin turbo aspect especially. i found a pic on the web, there is some info on Ford's website too. Turn up 2 turbos may be a really cool sleeper. It's AWD too so traction wouldn't be as much of a limitation.

Have you seen the price tag? $37k to start! Plus only 50% of the power can go the rears, from what I read. Plus it tips in over 4300lbs! And I thought some of the other new cars were heavy.

Performance-wise it seems to be very close to a G8 GT. For the price, I'd get a new G8 GT + a supercharger and still have plenty to spend on all the tires I'd burn up! :burnrubber:

Didn't notice the price, but yeah, that is fat ass price to match the fat ass weight. These cars today have too much crap weighing them down. I also would rather have the G8, especially supercharged. That would kick ass.

Agreed, as TTA 1077 has already proven. I'm just saying for the value...you can pick up a new G8 GT in the $26k-27k range and throw a blower on and have some sick power for just a bit over $30k! Or they've got some twin turbo packages out which GMHT put on their project car. Then they did a cam swap and it's putting like 600hp to the tires! Plus, going with the original theme of being a sleeper, a blown GT would catch more people off guard than the GXP. But I'd love to have either.

On a sad note, went past my local Pontiac dealer tonight. Their entire used car lot is empty, everything moved to the main lot. I didn't see any G8s.

My enthusiasm for the Taurus was in that it has 2 turbos, and that shit is exotic in my booklet. I guess that's what got me hot and bothered. Knowing how easy it was to turn 1 turbo up made me think 'oh sweet, turn up 2 and it goes even faster'. Boy racer does good. But once the heat diminished, reality has set in, and now...Well, its back to F'm all, glad I got a TTA and a reliable daily D. So who wants a 2003 Supercharged Cobra? Now that's a pony you can put money on. Change the pulley, add a fuel pump and some M/T D/R and your running high 11's....There isn't many affordable NEW hero cars out there other than the un-affordable ZR1/Z06
