My grandpa(s) are probably in some picture on the Internet. They were both in hiroshima the day after. It's a wonder they haven't died from
cancer.

Little Boy was 3 m (10 ft) long, and weighed 4,000 kg (8,900 lb), but only carried contained 64 kg (141 lbs) of uranium which would be used to create a nuclear chain reaction, and resulting explosion. That is where they were deployed...had it not been for the bomb I wouldn't be here if you know what I mean.

They stuck around another 6 months for help with cleanup. The destruction was incredible is what they said.

Really? deployed the day after the Hiroshima bomb?
 
How could they be in Japan when the bomb hit?
It wasn't till after the second bomb was dropped, that we were able to put troops into Japan.

Just wondering.

Got me. I could be wrong about where he was stationed right before. I know they were there the day after though.
