89 Turbo Trans Am Videos

I'm posting 3 videos, 1 st one in the no longer existing TNN channel (The Nashville Network- now Spike tv) It's an early Car&Driver tv epsiode showing the Turbo TA. They talk of how it's faster than the 89 vette. (ZR-1 didn't come out till 1990)

The last video is of me running my TTA last September. It was the night of the Camaro/Firebird show that was held at the Corvette Museum in Bowling Green, Ky. A few Firebirds and Camaros made their way out to the track after the show to show what these rides were made for. I was racing a 2001 or 02 z28. This run I think was 12.21 or 12.5 something. None of the 427 camaros from the show came out, none of the cars with plaques near their cars stating how much horsepower and numerous parts on the cars actually ran the quarter, must still be in tuning stagesoke:

That first video was Kick A@@! I don't think I've seen two TTa's lined up. Even at the BG Nationals. How fast were those rides? Either of them yours?
That second vid was cool too, I've seen that one. Maybe here or just surfing.
I would think that it would be hard to autocross a automatic turbo, boost comin in and out, looks like if you loaded it up to much coming out of a turn that it would spin you out pretty easy. I've seen a GN get boosted up in a kinda tight turn and that ride was ALL over the road, took both lanes of the road, but reeled it back in. It was a close one. :drag:

That's funny you mention that, I've never even noticed that. I had to crank up my computer to hear it. It would be hard to be an announcer, After about 10 cars, I'd be like, "yeah, yeah, another loud something another car, it's not a turbo car...sssnorrrrr":WOOT: :whistle:
