Air Filter With Spark Plugs Stamp?

I just opened up the air filter housing, and the only thing stamped on both ends of the filter says "AC Spark Plug C633C". Is that wierd since it is an air filter?

Yes that is correct as that was the AC brand "slogan" used on everything ... until they became AC Delco

It’s an original AC filter and most likely period correct (so before AC Delco time).

Meaning time for a new filter

I'll put in a new one certainly! This one is actually fairly clean! I still don't know why they put spark plugs on it though...

The company name was AC Spark Plug Division and they made not only spark plugs so that company name appeared on everything they made ...
