Does anyone use this company for their rides? I am currently using Grundy for my hobby cars. The rates are reasonable. The agent mentioned this company as another good one. I have never heard of them.

I've been using them since day one. They are great. It's basically Gieco or Travlers. All these insurance companies run under different names anymore. The nice part with American Collectors having several cars, the let me break the payments down to several payments over the year so your not whacked with one huge payment every year. I had 2 claims over the years and they were smooth simple and easy no questions or problems!
 
Thanks Philly for the info. I will have the agent give me a quote. I prefer to pay the lump sum in one payment and then not worry about it for another year. I think both companies Grundy and American Collectors are agreed value-that is important. Grundy has never challenged me on any values-just wanted extra pictures to back it up.
 
I just went through this and we have American Family Insurance for home/life/umbrella. I wasn't sure how they would cover the TTA but I am quite happy with the policy they wrote for it. It is considered an Antique and has full coverage for comp/collision for only $25 a month. You can drive it whenever you want without notifying them. All you have to do is get the car appraised so if anything major happens you get the appraised value of the car vs just actual cash value. I was able to get it appraised online by Nick at Great Old Cars for $50. You just fill out and application that he has on the website and submit photos of your car. It takes him a few days, but he will email your appraisal with a great write up and pictures of your car back to you in a word doc and also send a hard copy in the mail. Pretty cool document to have on your TTA too. You just send this to your American Family Agent and they add an amendment to your policy stating the appraised value. Plus you will want to do this every few years if you feel the value of your car goes up, which we all hope it will. :)

I know that no one under 25 is permitted to drive with Grundy. That doesnt make my son very happy-he's 18. He has his own hot rod, but he pays in 6 mos for one car for what I pay for all. He's a good driver-I keep telling him dont screw up, put in your time and your rate will drop.

I have Grundy. Rates are very reasonable. Especially when compared to the local insurance carriers. I pay just over 200 dollars for the year.

if you have Grundy now, why change? They are the cheapest and biggest.. for a reason.. Plus they don't have a mileage restriction.. I have grundy and have for many years. One claim which was no problems and always treated me right.
 
I never said I was going to change, just getting any input about this company from other members. My agent just mentioned this was another option. I am happy with Grundy so far, but I've never had a claim, so its just peace of mind right now as they take my money.
 
I've used Hagerty for years. I've never had a claim, but a few friends have and Hagerty was really good to deal with. Grundy was a little cheaper for my TTA but my Bee was more. Kind of a wash.
