I bought this car last week-I have been looking for a nice driver, I wanted 4 wheel discs, posi, t tops and something with a good powerplant. This one is a 350 Formula with the 700r4. I like mid range miles and well cared for, unmolested cars. This one was a good fit. It has 65k on it, not driven in snow, has no rust and most surprisingly, everything works. Even the A/C. It is turnkey, needs nothing, everything is good. The rear spoiler has been replaced with the fiberglass. It has had some paint work, but clean history. I drove it home(an hr and a half drive) and it runs great!

Apparently the lexan t tops were taken out and stored shortly after it was new, I got those in a bag with the shades as xtra's, a car cover, documents and an extra set of decals.

Hope you guys like it. I dont know why, but the only good cars I ever find are white!
 
It sure looks nice, congrats! Sure is hard to believe that a TTA was almost double the price. Nice color, looks like it was well maintained.

The car looks great! Way cool too! I love the Formulas. I always thought that they had the same appeal as the LX 5.0s. That is one of the nicest correct complete examples that I've seen!

nice score. i tend to see quite a few lower/mid mileage 3rd gen Birds out there for sale. you gotta realize these cars are pushing 25+ years old now so finding a nice clean ORIGINAL car is only gonna get harder to find....now if i could score a 70/72 Firebird Esprit in that condition i'd be a happy camper!....

White is my personal favorite car color, so an extra :thumbup: from here on that!

I always remember that Car and Driver called the [3rd Gen] 5.7 Camaro the "OPEC IROC" :rolleyes: ...but 25 mpg highway doesn't sound bad. Maybe the magazine guys spent a little too much time pressing on the "loud pedal"?

Thanks guys! I spent a lot of time looking for an early 82-84 black and gold, but was not finding any with my preferences. There is a saying about sometimes things happen for a reason and that was the case with this car. I went to look at it because it was close but didnt expect it to be so nice, especially since it was owned by a 19 y.o. Hey, no sub box in the back!! lol The price was very reasonable and less than some of the early cars I was considering.

The 350 is a great engine mated with this tranny. So many more options for the 350 vs the 305. It will be a great driver.

The kid told me the orig owner was a dentist, so maybe that explains the shiny white!
 
Nice score! Something about denists and white TAs.... Waiting for jarred to chime in on that :) know what you mean about only finding the same color cars, there for a while the only cars I parked outside were red.... Looked all over for a silver truck but what did i find... Neighbors thought my wife and I only liked red.
