Anyone ever run 225/55/16 on the front?

Stock tires are 245/50/16 I believe.

I was thinking 225/55/16 in the front only. Little narrower but taller than stock.

Do you guys think the ride will suffer with 225/55/16 in the front? Bumps?

I thought about going to a slightly narrower and taller tire on the front a couple years ago.

I would definitely buy the Firestone's again Robert. Price is terrific. They are quiet and comfortable. Well, tough to hear anything over my school bus exhaust. But seriously they are a bargin at that price. $260 (2) shipped to me.
I wouldnt put them on the rear on my car but a stock car would work really really well. M/T street radials are great for rear 255 50 16's.

Bilstein's definitely tightened the car up and got rid the slop. I bought the HD heavy duty struts not the sport version.

Yeah they had there issues on the Ford Explorer way back when.
Firestone's are rated very well now. They are rated 2nd by Consumers on Tirerack behind the BF Goodrich. Click on reviews or rating near the bottom Tirerack Firestone page.
I reviewed the selected Firestone tire on other sites and forums before I purchased. Read a lot of good things.

I think $116/tire sized 245/50/16 for a brand name tire is great.

I have them om my car ,I am happy with them you can't beat them for the price.they also have a pretty cool feture,they have the Indianapolis wing engrave on them.I thought that was very cool.
