I sent an e-mail to the GN/T e-mail list asking people to check out this BB.


I got a nice private reply stating that this BB takes a long time to load and uses up a lot of RAM space, so the people out there with slower computers are having a hard time
loading
 
Thats not possible! There are no huge graphics,No Banners or Advertisements.
I will check some things out.

But I have friends that test this for me on 33.6 and 56k and say is perfect, actually a little faster due to the mass compression of the graphics.
When you say mass Email to the other guys are you replying to turbobiuck.com?
 
OK I JUST CHECKED EVERYTHING OUT AND THE PAGE ON A STANDARD 56K MODEM TAKES 7SEC. TO FULLY LOAD INCLUDING THE JAVA!

IT JUST TOOK YOU LONGER THAN 7 SEC. TO READ THIS!

I use a old compaq 486/66 dx2 with a 133 overdrive chip. 56k x2 modem. This is a dinosaur compared to todays computers. This site loads and works faster than turbobuick.com, turbo buick buick website, and the gsca board as I am a member of them all. Give it time it will pick up

I usually get a crappy 31 something connection and this page loads quicker than a lot of other sites. Man I love these faces.

same here, my parents have a 133mhz with 56k and this page loads as fast or faster than most. I always thought turbobuick was slow myself. I'm now using my cousin's 533 and can't tell much difference between the 133. If they don't come here, it's their loss.

Actually, I quit using this bullitin board since I would rarely get a reply to my questions. I get many more replies on the TTA newsgroup. I like reading the topics on this BB, but I don't feel like there is as much communication.

Loads faster than any other board. Go try to load camaroz28.com now that takes forever compared to others.

It loads very slow for me, and therefore I don't stop in as much. Go figure???

I know this is an OLD topic, but just FYI- it loads VERY slow for me and I am connected at ~480kbps via Road Runner cable modem. Half the time I just hit the stop button so the text pops up without the graphics.. Hmm that's odd

Is it on the Home Page or the Board Page??

I am kind of in the works of Redoing the board but Im having a problem finding the import scripts to import all the users and data.

I dont want to have to all the members re-register..
