Aussie 80TTA

Hello down under!

I just heard from one of our club members here in Sweden that you have 1 -89 Turbo Trans Am in Perth.
He was on vacation there and saw the car on a street there, anything you know about?

What kind of setup is that in place of the stock 4 barrel carb? I like the big air box out front like the '89 TTA with a big K&N setup! Is it some kinda fuel injection? I have never seen anything like that!

Lot's of second gen Trans Am guys/gals over there! I go by the name WarbirdTA over there! We would love to see you over there! Also, lots of Turbo Trans Am owners there as well!
I have some friends who live in the land Down Under! In fact, one of them is selling his car (a Formula, which was being converted over to a Trans Am) right now.
Also, on TransAmCountry, there are a few guys from Down under as well!

I don't know of any 89TTA's in Australia..........and Perth is a bloody long way away from here (think NY to LA).
I replaced the carby with a straight LPG set up (thats liquid petroleum gas) and she runs pretty good I'll admit.......damn sight cheaper than using normal gas (about two thirds cheaper!)

Well..... since we are www i just thought that you guys down under had your own chat with Trans Am's and you might have heard something.

Here in Sweden we have a public car register so we can check up all cars on there vin's and also by the owners name and adress.

For the moment there are 2 -89 Turbo Trans Am's here in the far north.

Between.... in my little hometown V?ster?s we have one club member with a -78 Trans Am that just immigrated to Sweden from down under..... very, very nice guy!

We do have our own chat www.camaro-firebird.org but I can't say I know of any 89TTA's........well Dave Clee (Pontiworld owner) has just bought one and its on her way here now.......hell I want a GN and there is only one in Australia as I speak!
