The other day a brand new SS Camaro had blue painters tape in ares that would get dinged by stone or the like. The car plates were from North carolina, i was in ohio.

I thought it was a pretty good idea. Anyone ever tried this.

The front end, wheel wells and mirrors were taped.

I believe there was another thread talking about painters tape a few days ago, It could have been Jim that brought it up.

I considered doing this or had heard saran wrap. There are pros and cons to both. For me, just gonna go bare, got a heavy coat of wax on yesterday, cleaning supplies on board. Leaving early tomorrow, got a 2 hr trip.

I have used saran wrap with the blue tape inside the fender wells. Worked great. Got to the shows and just pulled the wrap off and no bug guts on the nose. It's a go for me. I will be the one on the Penn Turnpike with the Glad Wrap on the front. hahaha.

Sneaky to put the tape in the wheel well so it is less obvious..

See you all Friday afternoon. Coming in with two other TTAs for the ride. One from Long Island, the other from PA.

I'm going all natural. Bugs are not a new thing to my car. If there was fresh paint on the nose of the car it would be a different story. Just happy to be able to attend. See you guys soon. Tomorrow can't come fast enough.

My friend is a over the road truck driver. He is headed towards new jersey. He just called me and said mike ,your not gonna believe this I just seen 2 turbo trans am headed east.
