I know something like that can happen at any speed but that is another reason my GN will never go faster then 11.0 with me in it. The faster the car the faster shit goes wrong! People get many runs down the track and feel more and more comfortable going faster and faster. So when shit goes wrong you think you can correct it without getting out of it but your brain don't know what the car wants to do because when shit goes wrong that car is going where it wants to go no matter what you think you can do about it. Thank god he had a cage in this car. I see guys going faster then 11.0 without a cage and they are fucking nuts. It's one thing to have no care about the car if you destroy it, it's another thing to be stupid enough to go that fast without a cage! Keep it safe out there guys and don't get caught up in that " I need to go faster and faster and faster" sometimes it's not worth it. I think I'll go enjoy a nice drive in my TTA today....

Watch the vid again and look at seconds 35 thru 38. Looks like his car pushed out of the groove or the sticky spot and hit dust. The dust kicked up and it was only a matter of a second when traction went to shit. The track officials should prep that track better with the traction compound as well as sweeping the outer edges where dust, residue from rubber and stuff build up. He should be pissed at shitty track prep. If you run here a night or a few days later after a "bigger event" I bet that traction is better, they should prep it equally for all events. Also, all the moisture from rain last week my have been seeping through the surface too. Glad he's alright. That looked like a low 8 run maybe.
