IF ANYONE CONTACTS THE OWNER OF A TTA IN THE MASS. AREA ABOUT A TTA THAT IS FOR SALE WITH VIN# 1G5FW2173KL240944 AND THE OWNER WANTS $10,500 FOR IT AND IT ONLY HAS 20K MILES, I WANT TO BE SURE THAT EVERYONE KNOWS UP FRONT THAT THE CAR HAS FLOOD AND SALVAGE HISTORY ATTACHMENTS TO THE TITLE HISTORY THROUGH CARFAX. I SPOKE WITH THE OWNER OF THE CAR BY PHONE AND HE CLAIMED THAT THE TITLE WAS CLEAN BECAUSE HE HAS A CLEAN TITLE. ONLY AFTER TELLING HIM THAT I HAD RUN A CARFAX ON THE CAR AND I KNEW THAT IT HAD TITLE HISTORY PROBLEMS DID HE FESS UP TO THE TRUTH.

ACCORDING TO "1987 GN" A GOOD GUY THAT HAS SEEN THE CAR IN PERSON, IT IS VERY ROUGH. IF YOU NEED SPECIFICS, CONTACT HIM AS I HAVE NOT SEEN THE CAR, I HAVE ONLY SPOKEN WITH THE OWNER AND HE SEEMS TO THINK THAT SINCE THE CAR HAS 20K MILES THAT HE HAS A GOLD MINE REGARDLESS OF THE CONDITION OF THE CAR OR THE TITLE HISTORY. JUST WANTED EVERYONE TO BE CAUTIOUS WITH THIS CAR. THANKS.

I called the owner of the TTA today to see if it had sold yet, expecting to see a significant change in his price but he had already sold it for $9k He seemed like a nice guy but he had probably paid too much for it himself and was trying to get back his $$. The car was probably worth ~$5k when you think of the value of the TTA specific stuff but nowhere near the $10k mark. That makes two TTAs I have found within 45 minutes of my house that are in desperate need of MAJOR work. (#432 I think was the # of the other one I posted about that one in May of 2001.) If anyone knows of a hardtop TTA for sale that has some miles on it and is in the sub $10k range please let me know. Thanks!
