Boost Guage Does Not Work

I bought a low mileage car and the factory boost guage does not work. I replaced the MAPBAR sensor and I have vacuum to the sensor. Does anybody have any insight on how to proceed?

Provided you are getting boost, then I would check the MAP sensor connections (three prong plug, not vacuum source) check fuse controlling MAP and ensure correct voltages to the MAP 3 prong plug.

Thanks for the reply - if the guage itself is bad - what then? Are they available, try and fix that one or hold out for a used one? This looks like a unique part.

Not sure how complicated they are to get repaired; I do know I've only seen one NOS gauge for sale ever since I got my TTA in 2000 ...

Scott Kelly told us the gauge is out of the sunbird so might be an option to find the sunbird turbo gauge and take it apart. I've been tempted to buy one myself just to have a look at it and compare but they all seem to bring big money on ebay for Fiero conversions apparently.
