Brake pads?

It's me again. I have another question. I have a tta and I believe its time to do the brakes. I believe its the brakes because every time I press the brakes the car is pulling to the side. Now from experience does anybody have any ideas or where I can get the brake pads for this type of car. Once again thank you!

Sounds like one of the front calipers are binding slightly. You might like to see if the pistons in the caliper are moving freely in and out when you have the caliper off the rotor.

Brake pads are the same as for the 1LE cars, and Corvettes so any parts store will have them.

brake pads

i went to federated auto parts store for front brake pad's the other day and they wanted $112 for both side's!!! is this correct or am i mistaken? can't i just ask for a set of 89 corvette pad's instead? does anyone know a good chain auto part's store to get them from? i've never replaced them before...................thanx :D

WOW... US$112... come down to Australia.. they are only around US$45 here for decent semi-metalics...

Try your local Napa Store.. $21 to US$95.. figure most around $30-US$50 are dependable good street pads... heres some details... www.napautoparts.com (key in d413 or 89 Pontiac etc..
hope that helps.

Disc Pads 89 with Performance Pack

... Primarily they are D412 for the Front...
They are D413 for the rears... .. you can check the web on www.autozone.com and pump in the Pontiac, 89, brakes, front pads, with performance package .. otherwise they will give you standard D154 pads..

Here is the cut and paste from looking up the fronts..... .. cheapest are around US$25. but unless your a real hard driver.. they are quite adequate.. .. remember the more expensive the pad.. normally the harder they are .. the hotter they need to be to brake well.. but for everyday driving.. my choice is the 1st ones.
