Build Sheet Location

Hey Guys,
Were should I look in my Car to find the build sheet? I am not talking about the list of option codes found in the console.

So far I have herd of a couple of places these have been found.

1. When the car was new it stuffed between the intercooler and the radiator.
2. In the spare tire compartment.

Way back when I bought my car new, I just about took the whole car apart, looking for mine! Never found it!!!! Ugh!!!! Probally in a land fill now, by the City Of Industry!!! I wonder what happens to all the paperwork that the factory produces, after the factory closes down? You think sitting somewhere in boxes, like they show in the "X-Files"? Ha!

well, I'm not sure if there would even be one. When we get new cars in the dealership, they have a sheet of paper laying somewhere inside that has lots of squares and RPO codes in each square. I think that is a build sheet and they get pitched when they are detailed for the lot. If there was one, I'd look under the carpet somewhere. Remember though, the build sheets are probably from before it was sent to PAS to become a TTA.

Ummm...it was not in the door panel.It was under the carpet on the passenger side where you rest your feet.It was actually sticking out a little bit,thats how I found it.

Snakeskinner is right. I'm a prep/detail manager for a pontiac dealer. When I prep the cars, all garbage gets tossed out.
Except for any specialty car, like the FIREHAWK'S or the WS6 RAM AIR or Grand Prix GTP pace car. But thats when I prep them.
 
Looking for mine as well. I looked in the spare tire area and found a shred still stuck to the panel that comes off with the instructions on it :( Someone also told me it can be under the carpet in the lower trunk well on the left side. Nothing there on mine. Another person told me to look under the carpet near the consol towards the front. I didn't check the other places yet and I hate to pop the door off! :( Anyone know what door panel it's behind? Driver Passenger? I sent away for my kit from PHS but I'd still like to find one of the ones in the car if they are there. I'll keep this post alive! :)
 
What you get from PHS is the original invoice not the build sheet. My build sheet was taped underneath the carpet just above the fuel tank (rear hatch area) on the driver side.
 
I was talking to PHS and just found that out. At least I'll get the sequence number from them. I did look in the lower well in the back under the carpet and nothing there. I guess I have one of those cars that never got a built sheet in it! :sad:
 
I found one in my 350 TA under the carpet... but I dont remember if it was front or rear compartment. Havent had the desire to tear apart my TTA to look for one though being as everything about these cars is verifiable by the VIN number.
 
Yea I think I've given up! I checked all over the place! Without tearing the car apart anyways... I contacted the 2nd owner who just gave me the e-mail of the first owner! It was a woman who bought my car new :) So maybe just maybe she took it out if at all. I have my car number and all.. but it's just badass to have that build sheet in your hand and on display at the car shows :) I found the one in my Grand National and I never thought one would be in that car. I'll just have to buy someone else's built sheet with the same options and change the numbers :)
