Hey guys I am thinking of taking a road trip along the coast of California on HWY 101. I am wondering if anyone has done this before??? I heard that is was really cool the whole way down with lots to see. Would this be true even now in Jan/ Febuary or only the summer??

I am thinking of going to Sacramento to get my PTS extreme transmission. I think shipping is gonna be pretty expensive and duty is gonna be REALLY expensive, so getting it myself would hopefully save some money. Or atleast give me an exuse to go to California.

THanks,
Jarred.

I'm all for a road trip but I paid $75 to ship my trans. :D

Seriously!!! 75 bucks. who did you use??

I am in Canada and have to pay for the shipper to do the paper work at the border and also for the shipping itself. I have not yet looked into actual cost of shipping I was just assumming it would be pricey.

I spoke to Bruce Toelle tonight and sounds like its gonna be a while so I am probably just gonna ship it.

Hey Jarred..Call or email me when it's time to ship...We only need the weight and dimentions of the skid and we will get it picked up..There is no duty as the product is made in the USA..we can use my broker to clear the shipment and have it delivered to me at work...Shouldnt be over 200.00 total with freight/brokerage/tax's......If you email me Bruces zip code i can price the freight out real quick so you know what it'll cost.

but, I have made that drive...it;ll take a week (ish) to do and it is a great drive :)

Jarred,
Let me know when you are in Sacramento. I live in Rosevillle, just outside.

Ya I was gonna book time off work for the trip, but I am putting that on hold until I know for sure my tranny is completed. The finish date is unkown at this time. It was to be done for the end of this month but the builder had to go for two surgeries and will be recovering, so my tranny is on hold. Dave for sure I'll let you know when I'm in the area, always good to meet another TTA guy.

If I don't make this trip for my tranny due to not getting off work I may just get the tranny in the car and go with the TTA later this summer.
