Car backfires when WOT

When I accelerate and really start to get on the car it backfires. The trubo will start to boost up to 7-8psi with no problem and then it when start to backfire and I will lose power until I let off the gas alittle and then it will be fine. I have changed the spark plugs to ACdelco cooper. I have a Bulldog chip and no mods. I am waiting to get a TT chip. What could this be?

do you have a scanner? if no, order a scanmaster. If yes, are you getting any knock? If you're not getting any knock then you probably have a spark problem. It could be the plugs are gapped wrong if you just changed them, weak coil, wire grounding out, or a bunch of things. But from what it sounds like the car is just loading up either from pulling timing or getting a bunch of fuel with no spark.
