Has anyone ever painted thier TTA a color other than white?? I know that would decrease resale value, but I am just curious.

ive only seen 1 it was burgandy /red/white im sure others know what im talking abt. If i painted mine it would be black

Ya black for sure. Only door decals would not show up then. The gold wheels would still look awaome though.

As an aside, I'm at the Oilers game right now and Mike Comrie, the guy that bangs Hilary Duff, ain't doin Jack! if anyone cares about hockey.

I saw one in person that was red, white, and blue...and not in a good way. I have pictures somewhere. It was a Galina car from FL being worked on in Duttweiler's shop at the time.

What do you think ppl would think if a black TTA showed up at the 2011 reunion in Ohio? Hah ha I bet it would be outcast in pics and it would really stand out in an airial pic. I'm not sayin I'd paint my car black but it would be really cool and I bet so many purists would hate me for it.

Someone needs to do a black one.

I vote that Jerrad should be the one to paint one black :)

I have owned black cars for over 10 years...I have come to the conclusion that black is not a color.....It's a commitment.........:eeks:

Ya hah ah ha I should. But I would be cautious on painting a tta black, everyone will just think it is a gta with a gn motor transplanted into it.

Black is tough to keep clean hey, I had a black cavalier for 4 years and it was always dirty. It also had swirls in it that showed up big time!!!

Yeah, I saw that TTA in Ohio 2 years ago. Gentlemen was running a stock turbo, alcohol kit and a electronic fuel injection system/or power train management system. I seen him run 11.40's . Killer tune!

Wrong.

Stock turbo, C16, ported heads, stock cam, stock intercooler, .30 over, and a MoTec engine management system....A $5k engine management system...Duttweiler tuned it. Killer tune like Joe said. AFR table looked like a table as did the EGT's...Turbo wastegate hole is welded shut.

Rod and Ted are great guys. I know he broke into the 10's on that combo and I think he now has the record for the NHRA stock class. Not 100% sure on that last statement though.

I have some on my home computer but not here.

I know Jim has taken some over the course of the years. And BTW, the car is an 88 T/A with a maroon interior. Not a real TTA.

Jason

The car was up on a lift when I saw it at Duttweiler's shop so from what I saw I couldn't say if it was or wasn't a TTA.

Out of all the cars I have ever owned , painting a TTA would be the most blasphamous. I think its the fact they only came in one color?

I have seen many painted Syclones though... and they were only black ... BUT there was 2x's as many built ---

I saw a painted DeLorean in a movie recently and was kind of taken back by it initially. But it looked good in red and was different. Different strokes for different folks. And who was driving the car? None other than Pee Wee Herman!

HAHAHAH I saw that car for sale in CARTRADER recently. WHY would you paint a STAINLESS STEEL body panel car? Isnt that the reason they were cool in the first place? ;) ---
