Changing the Heater core's a real bitch

I've done this way too many times, I feel your pain. I don't take the dash off though and after the 5 or 6th time it only take about 1.5 hours and 6 beers for the irritation!

I thought he was joking. It looks like he stripped the interior to restore the car. I did my heater core in my 82 and the dash didn't have to come out. I was able to work from under the passenger side. A couple of the bolts were tough to get to, but not bad at all.

But you live in Arizona. How cold does it get in winter - 60 degrees?
Fast400 was joking about the heater core anyway. It's not that bad. I have done it a few times.

I am 3500 feet high.
During the winter, we can get up to the 40s.
Today was 43, with a wind chill of 38.
No heat in the garage, so no work out there.
Today at least.
Our nights for the next 3 days will be 25 (or so they say).
Coldest since I've been here, was 14.
I think I'm ready for Florida.

Wow - I didn't realize it got that cold where you live! I am running out of warm weather here in NYC too. I am trying to get my 1982 ready for paint. The interior is stripped. I am not going to work in the cold either. If I don't get it done then it waits until spring...
I think I am heading south when I retire. Florida is definitely some place I would consider. I hate the cold.

Bullhead/Laughlin,
Which is on the river, is about 250 feet above sea level.
They can get in the 50-60s during winter days.
But they get alittle to hot for me during the summer, around 120+ degrees.
Here, where I am, during the summer, around 104-109.
I have found, as I get older, the cold doesn't agree with me.
Lower back, knees, and other joints start acting up.
I hate this getting old.

Been in Florida for over 12 yrs. now, orig from Tennessee where it was too cold for me. Never regreted moving here, it is going to be 80 today and that isn't bad for December.
