What are these worth? Any history behind these? How many made?

91 and 92 C'verts. are out there. one thing for sure, the GTA option was not part of the deal,although you could the GTA interior as an option. unfortunately their not bringing in the big dollars, production was something like 555 in 1991 and 668 or so in 1992. stick shift cars are tuff to find as most were automatics....

Looks like nice low collectible numbers to me! Are you 100% sure the GTA option wasn't available on these cars?

Thanks for the reply. Owner told me there was 2 or 3 of these GTA's Converts that were made from the factory that year and they were sold to the top executives. I was just curious... Thanks

I have one....a '92 T/A convertible.Just put a new top on it last fall.

305 TPI auto....it's a real turd to drive but hey it looks and sounds fast.

I sense a little different shade between the two,I'll look at the window sticker when I get a chance and see what they called it. Maybe it's the lack of sunlight in my picture that makes them look a little different.
 
I have another ?

I had a 1991 white Firebird with the 5.7 TPI. 1LE pkg. Wheels like the TTA but black. Rarer than the TTA.lol

It had the nose (enduro nose , I think they call it) like Rich's and Bossbird but the my doors were flush with the body. Didn't have that design on the bottom of the door like you guys. ????

Rich, your vert is like my 91 GTA T-Top / 305 5-sp. The color is called "Medium Green" IIRC.

Not fast but agreed that it sure looks and sounds like it'll go.

Can't bring myself to modify it aside from the suspension upgrades... Maybe one day if/when the 305 gives up...
 
in 1992 Pontiac used two different greens for the Firebird's. the first one was a carryover from 1991, code 45-medium green metallic. the second color was the dark jade gray. Pontiac used that color along with three others to celibate the 25th anniversary of the Firebird.
chevy then used the same jade green color on the 94-96 impala ss.....
 
Quick question...my '92 T/A has black rocker arm covers, I was told that was correct for '92 and that the silver ones were not used in 92...is that true?

I bought mine from the original owner and I'm pretty confident he never opened the hood let alone tinker with it.
 
mine is completely stock, and it has black covers as well so it sounds like that is correct? not to up on the 91's but i think i recall something about 91's = silver and 92's= black... the more i think about it, the more it sounds right.....
 
Since we have hijacked this thread from Joe (sorry) I might as well update about my T/A.
We've had it for almost 10 years now and I've decided its resale value is limited and is worth more to us for fun than anything else.

So, I recently purchased a complete 9 bolt rear end and am probably picking up a built 700R4 for it....next Im going to do a 355 L31 transplant with vortec heads.

Not looking to race it, but would like it be at least respectable on the street and not get outrun by an average late model sedan.

Didn't know you had that T/A. Love the color Rich. Don't ever think I have seen one like yours with the same color and convert. Kind of like the nose a little better than the TTA. How about you Rich? Nose? Same nose as my old 1991 Firebird 350 TPI. Hood scoop looked cool from inside the car.

The 91-92 nose to me are "allright", but I like my T/As with a blunted nose. like 85-90.

My wife likes the ant eater nose and its more her car than mine so that's cool.....my complaint is that more often than you'd think someone will say "nice Vette".....arrrggghhhh.
