Cleaning Coolant and Windshield Washer Tank

What is the best way to clean the coolant and washer tank when they are removed from the car? No sludge or grime in tanks or fading of the plastic, just need to clean them good.

For the outside I always use a magic eraser (JML Doktor Power Magic Eraser - Sponge Cleaning Block) ... I remember you can get them at autozone and other places.

They work magic on a lot of materials and specially on those containers.

Inside is harder I use a brush, one of those bottle brushes with a longer bendable shaft/handle so I can get in from different angles then just dishwashing fluid and water or similar.
