Seems all the valve covers look crappy on these cars. I guess it's that metal they used. Has anyone found something to really bring them up? I tryed Simple Green and a scrub brush and they came up not to bad but I'd really like to get them looking fresh again without taking them out. For those of you that took them off and did something to them what did you do/use? I used the Simple Green on the plentium and it came up pretty nice. Let me know if you found the secret to good looking valve covers! 8)
I have used mothers aluminum poilish with some success but the covers are hard to clean on the car. You really need to take em off and use a polishing tool. Heres a polishing link I have bookmarked from a while back.
