He gives it out very sparingly. What do you need it for?
Had some questions about his chip and locking the converter? I just joined the turbo tweak forum as shawn reccomened. My experience with my 87 GN was that locking the converter slowed it down, but the chip I was running locked it @ said mph so I disconected the speedo cable while running the race chip.My question is can I eliminate tclu with the 89 T/A,and have you seen other turbo cars react this way. Don't race with the VSS unplugged.
If you want to lock the convertor later than maybe you can hook up a momenetary N/O switch to the brake pedal switch and just hold it closed till you reach a MPH that you want then release it. The ECM won't lock the convertor if it "sees" the brake switch closed.
Or you can upgrade to the 6.0 chip and program the MPH to lock the convertor.
Or go BIG and run a N/L convertor.
