And the replacements dont have the proper date code on them either.
Sometimes if the tank isn't cracked its just the hose that leaks and the clamp can be snugged up.

The replacements also have another part number on them (molded).

I had mine leak and thought it was cracked and took it all out and was about to replace it when I realised it was just leaking where the hose sits; new clamp sorted it out ...

The plastic they use is really difficult to repair (glue or similar) however I would think if you do find a crack in it you can melt the plastic in that area carefully using a solder iron or similar unless there's a piece missing

Are you guys talking about the Hawks repro coolant tanks? I have never seen one except on their website, but I have purchased other parts they reproduced and you would be hard pressed to tell the difference from the originals.

Not the repro ones ... the factory one have a different molded partnumber on top of it compared to the GM replacement when avalible ...

The repro one I suspect were "molded" from the GM replacement and not the factory one but not sure as I have not seen one up close.

Holy krap! Guess I should start selln my stock pile of them!!!

I just paid $23 for a NOS GM coolant tank, shipped!!!

We'll since there are already repops I don't understand why they go for such a high price. For a short time on my 79 TA repops were not avail and NOS ones were going for around $250 for a dam little plastic tank! Now the repops are out they go for about $60-75

Now you guys are really going to hate me.
Within the last week, I have picked up a NOS set of door seals, 1st design ttop seals w/door triangles and a hatch seal... not to mention the NOS formula 350 door decals, door mouldings and all the bird decals.
$100.00 for all of it. The deals are still out there.......

I have seen deals on the first design door seals, but they generally sell for less since there is an improved design out there.

Most people don't even know about the 2nd design.
Since my 89 org had the 1st design, I'm putting them away for the future..

Good deal ... GM re-designed the hatch seal as well at some point I remember.

I was lucky and got all my stuff years ago while still available and at decent cost; all of them are now on my TTA when I had it repainted back in 2004.
