Cooper Gaskets For Headers

Always had a problem with the passenger side header developing a leak since the catalytic converter plugged, I've tried just about everything except a new flange, or header since they cost so much to custom make...I really hope this will solve my problems with my blm being low.

Why not use Remflex header gaskets. They might eliminate your problem!

Remflex ? That is the first time I hear of this.

Whao, I just checked it on fullthrottle page and I have ordered many parts from them in the past, if this doesn't work I'll that a try.

I have the part # for the TTA reflex header gaskets , not home now it would take me a couple of days to get. Or check with full throttle they would know!

Have you checked the header on a certified flat surface????? I spoke with Bison and he said unless your header isn't severely warped use copper rtv. I found a local metal fab shop that had a granite flat block. Checked for flatness and was pretty happy. I used copper rtv and no leaks...

I took it to a machine shop a long time ago and it was good but after placing it back on using rtv it was good for so miles until I got on it, it would do it again, that when I took the cat out and seen that it was plugged, actually it melted from the center, so I just broke the center out and never fixed the leak.

I hate to do all that work taking it off just put some rtv and have the leak develop again that's when I just decided to used the copper gaskets as a last resort.

And you can tell when it has a leak because it sounds like a v8 and people think you have a v8 when you start it, but we that have had this cars since early adulthood know that it's a distinctive sound like a mechanical robotic yet not sure how to explain it and when it has a stainless steel from the headers to the back even more.
