Cruise and N/L convertors

WS6

Stay thirsty my friends
One more thing I'd like to get working again is the cruise control ('cause I'm fancy that way) and I've diagnosed it to the dreaded cruise/dimmer/delay stalk. Which is a pain in the As$ to change. But, I got to thinking maybe it doesn't latch not because the set button failed but maybe my N/L torque convertor is the culperit. If I remember right, cruise will only engage when the TCC is locked up and now that mine has a non-lock up it won't ever engage?

Anyone have a N/L up convertor and have a functioning cruise control??

I'm sorry I can't help with the cruise issue because my 3000 stall IS a lock up. One observation I did notice with my converter was it does set a check engine light every time I load the car onto my trailer.

When I start up the ramps (I bring the RPMs up to the top of my stall speed) I let the car slowly creep up my trailer ramps. When the car gets over 2500 rpm the car thinks it should be moving but the vehicle speed sensor is saying otherwise. It sets the check engine light every time and when I hook up my scanner now it shows a code stored for a vehicle speed sensor.

First time this happend was right after I had the converter installed and the car was getting loaded to go racing. It freaked me out a little but now I have just gotten used to it. I am assuming everyone with a converter has this same experience, right?
