custom plates

That sounds cool. Do you have the collector option in NY? I got collector plates for mine, wanted to get TURBOTA, but it was already taken. Anyone here?? So I just got my car #. It does look pretty bad on the back of the car with the wide Kumho's.

in ny we can get the style plate that was on the car in the 80's which was the statue of liberty ones but i gotta send them a pic of the original ones that were on in the 80's

You could put the liberty plates on in 2015 when the car is over 25 years old. You have to register it as historical.

Here in Ohio we have historical and collector in additional to the regular passenger vehicle registration. Historical, the car has to be 25 yrs + or older. Collector can be any vehicle regardless of age, but you have to apply and it has to meet certain criteria. One of the requirements is limited production of 8000 or less, so the TTA is a shoe-in. You have to also have another vehicle registered in your name as your daily driver. It is a little less expensive than a regular registration, but not much. Of course personalized is more money also. Heres what mine looks like.
