Different Versions of Wastegate Solenoid

I have 3 wastegate solenoids and all three are different. Did GM change these over a period of time? All three work good on the car. Maybe they are cosmetic changes and the internal parts are the same.

1. Is my spare one on the car with the red dot in the center. It has no filter clip.

2. Is the one that came on my car, it has the dot to the left and its dot is light is color. It has DR157 and 8119 on the back of it. It has no filter clip.

3. This one has a red dot to the right and has DR157 and 0227 on the back. And this is the one with the filter clip.:DontGetIt:

You get that with any part ... the parts that went to the production line and the parts later made as replacements might have evolved for different reasons, design, material and cost point as well as possibly one or more manufacturers (or they swapped manufacturer) will affect this ...

You also see the boxes changed, the way they stamp part numbers on the parts, date code and other identification marks change over time as well as they change processes.

I see this with pretty much any part you buy / have / find that they changed over time but function the same (quality might be a different story; always found that anything rubber from the factory lasts much longer than any replacements you buy).
