Does Anyone Have Experience With Infinity Or Safeco Insurance?

I've gotten crazy low rate quotes from both of these companies. Are they any good? What is the best bang for the buck?

I've had Hagerty for 15 years. Last year I sold my Vette that I had insured for $40K and bought my TTA that I insured for $20K and my premium doubled. They said it's because I would be more likely to drive the TTA even though I had them both limited to 2K mi/yr.

For your tta? I have gotten numerous friends to switch to the company I use. Condon & Skelly collector insurance
Excellent customer service
30k insured
500 deduct
No down time
No mileage limit
Drive anywhere anytime
$240 per year

I have Condon and Skelly as well. No claims, but easy to deal with thus far, and I liked not having a mileage restriction. I've never driven more than a restricted policy would have allowed, but I like the freedom to do as I like.

"More likely to drive...". really???
I've had Condon-Skelly for 32 years (pretty sure that they also had an ownership change along the way) for my "classic" insurance. Originally I liked them since I could get to their office in less than 15 minutes from work - easy to run over there with pix, etc (was in 1985, remember o_O). I did have 1 claim a while back, they treated me well - no hassles. They are an "Agency" , the actual insurance company name on the policies has changed a few times over the years.
For cars over 25 years old (all of mine at this point), they offer zero deductible policies, there are "limitations" that apply which are no issue for me. I guess there must be some other types as well.
I have a friend that swears by Grundy, and a few of the local MAGNA guys are happy with American Collectors.
Good luck.

I was in Condon-Skelly's website trying to use their software to get an automated quote but couldn't get it to work. I did use their link to the NADA book and checked out the value of TTAs. Below average condition $19,000, average $33,000 and perfect condition $48,000, holy smoke! Hagerty told me concourse level was $24,000, which I knew was wrong, time to get away from Hagerty.

Keep in mind that most collector policies are stated value....meaning you can agree on any amount with the insurance company and your rates will be based on the stated value. Not only can you insure for what you think your car is worth but this allows you an apples to apples comparison of insurer rates.

I have American collectors. They ask What's it worth? and how much do you drive? Policy is based on that and no deductible. Agreed value :$30k, 2.5k annual mileage.
$618 annually. seems high now. maybe next year I'll look at Condon-Skelly.

Thanks guys! I pulled the trigger with Safeco. Insured 2 daily drivers and 2 collector cars for less than I was paying for my daily drivers with Nationwide. I hope I never need to use it.

Hagerty and grundy are really close on my cars. The 80's cars are more than my Bee at Hagerty. Grundy is a tad cheaper on the turbo cars, but more on the Bee. It's a wash. I asked why? Odd, but it's because they are assumed to be driven more.
Anyway I've heard so many horror stories from other carriers that I will stick with Hagerty for the piece of mind.
