Door handle pull

TTA 1077

Well-Known Member
Anyone know where I might find one of these? Went to the junk yard and couldn't find one! It's the trim ring around the door handle pull. As you can see mine is broken.

ebay has people who sell door panels ... find one with the ring attached? But most probably you'd have to dye it the right color.

If I see one I'll let you know

If you find two of them let me know .... the plastic is so brittle after the years and most of them are cracked or pieces missing ....

Not sure what to dye them with, I got a grey and also one of the 87 tan ones but so far I found no paint or dye that do match our original beechwood color.

I had one of my guys do a 3D CAD model of one and I'm hoping to see if I can get some of my contacts cut one in aluminum using a CNC machine but same problem finding some paint to match properly but at least the aluminum version would last forever :-)

I will let you know ... I'm shocked that there has been no Beechwood match dye on the market! It was used in other cars other than the TTA so I wonder why it hasn't been done yet?

Let me know if you can get these reproduced. I've been looking for over a year.

Went on e bay and none of the armrest/ door pulls come with the trim ring, I'm going to shoot hawks an e mail. Jan There might be enough interest to make them in aluminum, see what comes of it!
