eBay: 1989 Turbo Trans Am Kiddie Car

I see a little cracking on the drivers side bolster and the rear wing needs to be replaced. Does it come with the original Lego box?
 
I am so sick and tired of people posting ebay auctions.

We are all capable of searching ebay on our own.

I think maybe you had some interest in this item? Me Too! That's why I don't often direct people with like interests to auctions that I want to scoop up.

Luis - don't worry - you didn't break any rules I know of. I think as was pointed out, someone was a bit upset after finding out there were more bidders. I have pointed people to auctions in the past when they were looking for something, or I thought it was an interesting item. I kind of keep it quiet if I am bidding though.
 
This item is for local pickup only, no shipping. I know a lot of people would not bid on it because they are not even close to Connecticut or the northeast. Sure wished it was closer, south somewhere.:cheers:
 
On the flip side, those that have these will truely see what they are worth when all of us TTA nuts are bidding...but my garage is full enough of various car crap already...I could probably build another car with all the various spare parts I have..although it would have parts from various manufacturers :)
 
I don't know Kris - you have benefited here when someone posts a link to your auctions. I guess it depends on whose point of view it is.
 
Never heard of this being a Hostess give away. Overall this looks in pretty good shape. They can start to yellow very easily and then become brittle. And I don't think the $25 crate fee is expensive. I had 2 of these and they are quite large and difficult to ship. The last one I shipped was NOS in the original box and I had quotes from $60-$100+ to ship it from GA to SC!
 
sometime back in the early 1990's, there was a chain of auto part's stores here in California and they had a store here in town. going in one day i see up by the front counter of one of the kiddie cars up on a display rack. the car had all of the TTA markings plus some other added decal's. the car was part of a Castrol Oil promotion giveaway. i knew about these car but had never seen one till then so i was kinda surprised when i found it there.....
i remember trying to get inside info or see if they would just sell it to me but it was a no go so i remember entering the giveaway to see if i would win it....shortly after that it the contest was over and the car was gone.... :cry: so i tried to get more info and was shut down-again. :wall: so somewhere around some lucky guy won the thing and probably gave it to his little kid to drive around the neighbor hood :burnrubber: and ultimately into the ground instead of letting a collector have it where it would still be alive today and living happily ever after..... :)
 
Winning bid $510. Maybe the TTAs will bid up like this one, one of these days?
Sure hope if they get it shipped it don't fall apart.

LOL, so is mine. It filled up quick! I love collecting all the various car memorabilia too, but have to be selective now because of space constraints. The new Formy filled it up! I would probably bid on the TTA wine and champagne set if one ever came up for bid! But have not seen one for sale. The pedal car is cool but is pretty big. Congrats to who ever bought it!!
