Ok, question. I have replaced my alternator twice and still can get one to work, can there be something that is shorting the alternator? the strange thing is that when I took the first one to the store were i bought it from the sale person told me that it was working. I know for SURE that it worked, but it worked for maybe 2 minutes. So I spoke to the manager and got them to give me another new one. It was working great, but yesterday I wanted to take my baby out and sure its not working. I will feel bad if I go to the store and have this one tested and they tell me its working! any ideas. I took the battery to another store this morning thinking that I might need one they tested and they say is good. Come on guy's I can use your help. Thank you.

How are you coming to the conclusion that the alternators aren't working? By the dash gauge, or checking the voltage off of the alternator itself? A few things to check, Battery connections-fusible links-belt tension-continuity on the large red wire from the back of the case to the positive battery post. Good Luck and let us know what you come up with!

well dash gauge is reading 12, and when I disconected the battery cable while the car was running it turn off. I am going to read voltage on the battery before I turn on the car, and after and see what it is. Roz thanks for the advise I had no Idea about the fuse, I will look into that. thank you buddy !!!
