This car had a re-manufactured trans in it, no wonder why it did not shift right. How do you do you like my moveable jack stands?

I like those jack stands sexy!! I can't have been that bad with all that garage space! I have to tear the engine out of my 86 GN and I'd die to have that room! Can I bring my car over? :cheekiss:

WOW,... nice garage!!

How come you're removing the engine?? Did you blow a head gasket?? That is what I did in my car two years ago. I did not pull the engine out myself though, I had the shop do it and also had a shop rebuild my motor.

Good luck with your project.

Why did you have to remove the fenders, front facia, rear spoiler, and doors to remove the engine?

This is car 1081. Its has a very checkered past (stolen, interior parted out, who the hell knows what else). The door fenders and front end needed to be replaced and I plan on pumping some horsepower into the engine. The car has 30K on it, and it run and drives great (13.73 bone stock). I plan on looking for a white GTA as a donor this winter.

If that is 1081 that would be the closest to mine that might have the build dates still readable on the PAS sticker (driver side door) if that is the case could you share the GM build date AND the PAS build date on yours both are in the format 01-89 (so month-year).

Also the upper radiator support got a rivited id tag on it with a six digit number on it ... mine (TTA #1078) got 11-7652 on it and no 1082 got 11-76-66 on it ... TTA 1080 been written off back in 2006 and I got no details about that one.

Anyway if you can help would be great and I can find out my build dates ... they should be the same I suspect and most likely 03-89 for both GM and PAS dates ...
