So I was hearing a slight exhaust leak and faint smell inside the cabin and decided I should investigate. I PM'd Jan as I know he would have some input as to what gaskets were needed.
Here is my Problem... I am 99% sure it is coming from the DP. yall concurr?
Don't use a gasket on the D/P turbo, use ultra copper hi-temp rtv, looks like you have the org. IC clamps and hoses as well, you may want to upgrade those...
Lot of place's sell them , just make sure you don't buy hose's that are real thick cause they are a bitch to put on... got mine from Cotton's Performance, Racepartsolutions. com is good too. Both sell the clamps also..
Got silicone hoses and t-bolt clamps from racepartsolutions.com, good source. I used Black but they have other color hoses like Blue. You better use WD 40 or similar to put them on, they are tough getting on.
Bill Owen told me they had problems with those hoses (on the GN) so at one point he had them changed and updated so what we have on the TTA (with the orange lining) was better than what originally came on the GN (early days I suspect). However I think we all swapped to even better silicon versions ... but as Robert pointed out there's thicker versions (4 ply vs 3 ply) out there that are a pain to install and also requires slightly larger clamps (ask me how I know lol).
racepartsolutions.com is a good place and can match the clamps you need to the hoses.
so I finally got around to putting a Turbo flange gasket (3 bolt one). the flange was leaking and didnt have a gasket. I found out by doing the seafoam method...
OMG the car is like a different car. the boost comes on SO much faster and harder. I was getting 15PSI peak and it went up to 16-17 now.
