exhaust question?

i just bought a new exhaust system for my tta. i went with the atr 3' stainless-steel unit. my question is....will this unit bolt directly onto my stock catalytic-converter with-out any mods of any kind, or will there be welding and all kinds of work involved. the exhaust system i have on it now is completely stock. atr claims it will (bolt right-on) is this true??
will i feel a little difference in performance when the unit is installed?
thanks............dave

ATR Exhaust

It will bolt right up to your stock cat with no problem. When my mechanic installed mine he tack welded the rear pipes to the muffler. That was all the welding involved. I felt the difference in mine when I changed it. I also installed an ATR pitbull chip about the same time, so I don't know which gave me the biggest improvement, but the car feels faster. The only thing with the ATR exhaust is your stainless tips won't fit because they are too small. I was bummed about this at first, but now I think it just makes it look more like a sleeper, which is good.
