Fastest TTA

Just curious, I do not want to start any trouble either, but I notice alot of very fast GN's, I was wondering who has the fastest TTA? What suspension mods are done to the fast cars? Thanks , lets keep it friendly too!!! I know this is a sore subject to some.

According to the Frequently Asked Questions about the 1989 Turbo Trans Am sticky on Turbobuick.com it is 10.16 @ 135.06mph by jicaju

10.16 run and combo info

As you can see by Mikes car, there isnt a whole lot done to the suspension and it works well. My GTA has alot more done to the suspension but has only gone a best of 1.47 60ft, though my mods have been to improve consistency since I primarily bracket race the car. But it shows how the thirdgen f-body suspension is a good design for both drag and road racing and it doesnt take much to set it up for either type of competition (thats why the copied the f-body rear suspension setup for the GNX).

I know there have been other TTA's that have gone quicker in the past, but dont know if any of them are still together and running.

If your interested in what you can do to the suspension on these cars for drag racing there are alot of guys over at thirdgen.org in the Organized Drag Racing and Autocross section that have some really fast well set up cars.

HTH,
Steve

Robert Crisafulli more than likely has the fastest TTA. It originally ran 10's back in the early 90's and then he parked it for about 10 years. Now it is a turbo V8 TTA making over 2500hp. Haven't talked to him or his brother in awhile, especially since I moved away. But first passes in the car were in the 200mph range.
