If it is cloth seats and t-tops it is probably a festival car

They were all used by media and celebrity ppl and driven to the race from all over. So I don't think they made any more after the race but I'm not sure.
The cars were not pulled @ random @ Van Nuys they were all ordered from day 1 (before built) as TTAs.
They built TTAs from Dec 88 - May 89 @ PAS and last one leaving Van Nuys was April 1989
For the festival cars, these were indeed t-top / cloth and used for the parade (celebrities etc) and for press people during the month of May; these cars were later sold at a fix price to GM employees and most likely to others as well.
The festival cars were all built in Dec 88 and were assigned to the following 3 dealers in Indiana: Don Sisk, Coral Pontiac-GMC and Tom Wood Pontiac.
Note that all Dec 88 built TTAs were not used at Indy ... one of the Dec 88 cars were a hardtop for instance.
So the way to find out is really looking up the VIN which I can do for you to see if it was a festival car or not.
Also all festival cars had a number in grease pen behind the rear number plate (just to keep track of the cars) and most festival cars still have that left on there however any owner could have removed it over the years.

so Jan, do you have a way to tell what the Festivle car number was/is via the VIN or TTA build number????
I got the festival car numbers for about half of them. Each of them had a sign out sheet with the VIN and the license plate number used at Indy (so the festival car number if you like) ... some of these docs we have access to and I got the numbers off those the rest someone (the "owner") was asking $5k USD for so for obvious reasons I don't have them ...

Jan, if i PM you my VIN maybe you can cross-check it with your info sheet? there is just a trace of ink left behind my plate and im not 100% sure what the # is......
