? for those using battery tenders

Ok, need some advice from the experts here. Will be storing the car real soon and using a battery tender. Would it be cool to just remove the battery from the car and use the tender? I guess the answers I need are: will anything need reprogrammed in the car (scanmaster) and will the computer reset itself? Any other disadvantages to unhooking the battery? Last year I left it hooked up, but with my storage container it will be hard to run an electrical cord in there, since the thing is air and water tight. Thanks for your help.

u could always drill a hole and silicone around the hole for the electric cord ?
 
Does disconnecting the battery screw up anything? I thought I read that it did, but I dont remember what.
 
I leave all my cars on the tender year round. No need to disconnect the battery. You can if you want but not needed. The car will just have to relearn a little when you hook it back up and drive around nothing major. I can close the hoods on all the cars. The cable for the tender slips right out by the headlight bucket.

I also disconnect the orange ECM wire there by the battery every time I park the car so in theory I disconnect the battery because that's the wire that keeps the memory in the ECM while the car is off. The only reason I disconnect the orange ECM wire is because I like to crank the car till the oil pressure comes up before I start it when it sits for more then a few days to avoid dry starts. Also incase the battery tender goes nuts it won't kill the ECM. I had one tender go bonkers and over charged the battery and killed it. Who knows if any damage would have occurred if I had that orange ECM wire hooked up.
 
i always disconnect the orange wire when i change the oil ... spin the engine a lil then reconect = no dry starts ... i like em wet
