Front end coming along......finally

Last Saturday with hair nation on the radio and 18 pack of coors light things started to take shape..over 45 misc parts powder coated including the complete front end. We started the reinstall. All new bushings, steering components and struts. Engine bay painted white (weekend prior) then decided to use black Rock chip for the radiator surround and verticle Subframe. I think it looks sweet. That black Rock chip guard is extremely nice unlike undercoating. Several hours of taping off to keep it very crisp and clean.
 
Damn and I thought you were just taking everything apart to clean it up "some", that baby is going to look better than new! Great job Chad!

Looks very nice!

If not broadcast radio, I usually listen to the Metal Shop through metalshoprocks.com. It's great garage music.

Yeah it is, it's just good times and cold beers with great friends for me if they want to go every year. Maybe it will coincide with my new Z06 getting built by then..just maybe.. I'm doing the built the motor myself thing and all, just not certain when I can do it, hopefully later this year.

Everything I've read says that they are beyond awesome! That should be the start of some "fast times" :burnrubber:

When we took a tour of the Vette factory last Oct, all of the performance GM motors are now built there at the BG factory. If you order a new Z06, for $5k you can come to the factory and build your own motor that will go into your Z06 with the help of a technician, This includes everything from crank and piston rod assembly, to the heads up, your name then goes on the motor as being built by you and the tech. That option also includes a day at the new track across the highway once the car is built and 2 days at a track in Vegas with the track vettes, you just have to get there and drive their vettes. Wife never liked the idea of getting a Vette until she heard about this, so she gave me the go ahead to do it, just have to get some finances in order so I'm hoping for late this year to do it. Had my eye for a Hellcat initially and even put one on order but now how Chrysler has jacked up the entire process I've dumped that idea and going for this. I've always loved Vettes since I was a little kid and have never had one, this is the ultimate car lovers experience I think. Have to trim down the garage too in the process.
 
Rob I'm hijacking my own thread. Lol anyways hell cat or a Z06 c7. Come on kid, really? C7 all the way. Oh when ur ready to thin give me a call on that GN.
 
The GN will never leave :) Had it since college days, probably never part with my truck either, but all else is fair game. I already have a SRT Chally to beat on so you're right, C7 is the easy choice..although the HC would replace the SRT Chally and be a lot cheaper. Yes, you have successfully high-jacked your own thread…. OK back to cleaning that front end!
