Front License plate

hi,
i was wondering if anyone knew where to get a front license plate mounting bracket. i have heard there is one out that uses 2 existing bolt holes under the fornt end to mount the bracketing( no drilling). i have contacted john pearcy, he has one but doesn't sell them or know where to get them. in washington we are required to have the front plate, but there is no way i am drilling into the bumper.

Im supposed to have one too here in IL. but It's not to big of a deal. I have been pulled over for it once and that was while I was cruising the ave. and he gave me a written warning about my tint instead of the front plate (Jerk Cop) But you might be able to make one yourself if you are handy enough.Couple of aluminum pieces and heat!
 
We are required to have a front plate too :( . I couldn't find a bracket (I didn't look too hard), so I made one out of stainless steel. It isn't too hard to do, especially of you have a sheetmetal break. I believe the original dimensions of the bracket were 12" wide by 9" tall, I then bent 3" of the 9" section at a 90 degree angle. I drilled two holes for the screws underneath the fascia. The bracket felt a little heavy to me, so I cut out two large pieces of metal from the center and trimmed the edges. Instead of using the original screws to attach the bracket to the car, I used two stainless steel 1/4-20x1.25 bolts through the holes in the fascia, then threaded nuts on the backside (it is a long reach, but you can get to the back of the screws if you have skinny arms). After I bolted the license plate on, I slipped two rubber isolaters over the backs of the screws, so they would not rub the paint off of the fascia. If you need pics of the setup, please let me know.
 
I am required to have one too here in Massachusetts. I picked up a front license plate bracket from a 1984-1987 regal. I drilled two holes in the bracket so the bolts under the front fascia would line up and I covered it with a rubber mat so it would not rub against the nice white paint. The whole job took under 1/2 hour, looks great and can be disconnected in under a minute if you want to take it off to go to the track or for a picture. I don't have the measurements available right now but I assure you I am NOT handy and I was able to get the job done right. Post here if you have any problems and I am sure someone will be able to help you out.
