Fuel Injection Rails and Injectors Buzz and Vibrate and Won't Run

Uggghh!
-So cruising with the TTA and stopped by a friend's house. When I went to leave, the car would crank like heck but not start.
-Thought I started to smell some fuel so left the car sit for a few minutes.
-Tried to start it again and it would almost sound like it wanted to fire over.
-When I would turn the key to the run position, the fuel pump would turn on but then after a few seconds, a buzzing sound from the fuel rails and injectors happened and they were vibrating too. Turned the key off and back on again and it did not do it.
-Eventually got the car running but wouldn't run without keeping foot on the pedal a bit. Then it would idle ok.
-Got the car home very carefully, left car idle and it was fine. Turned it off and it started right back up.
-Only computer code was an old EGR Valve code.
-So this problem happens intermittently, which makes troubleshooting harder.
-Anyone experience this and have any ideas on what it could be?
-I will disconnect the battery to reset the computer and check all the grounds to the engine too.

-Car is all stock and original, no chip or anything.
-Has new plugs and wires last season with about 2,000 miles on them.

Thanks for any thoughts.

It's cool that your TTA is all stock, but I would consider upgrading the fuel system and getting a TurboTweak chip. You don't have to go wild with the chip mod. Eric can burn you a conservative chip and some new 42# injectors would put my mind to ease. The stock chip is crap for drivability. My car (had since new) always had a weird idleing surge problem, even before any mods. Had other chips over the years and none of them helped. TT's chip cleared it up. It purrrrs like a kitty when cruising. Just a suggestion. Store your original stuff and upgrade.

My car did the exact same thing with the injector pulsing with the key turned on and the engine off. I actually disconnected the injector that was pulsing and it moved to another injector. my car would always start and run, but sometimes it wasn't very driveable. not sure if it might be the same problem, but a new computer is what mine needed. Mine never gave me any codes or anything on a scanner,or scanmaster that would have showed anything was wrong with it. If anybody is close by with another TTA or GN try swapping computers and see if that helps.

I had another problem similar to yours in my 92 Z28where it was hard to start and would'nt run right, and that was an injector that was shorting out. I hope some of this helps, and I hope you can get it fixed soon. too bad I didn't know about that last weekend,or I would have stopped by and taken a look. I was up in long Island. if you want, give me a call, you still got my number right?

Problem solved!!!!

So I took the ECU out from under the dash. Got the car started and it idled like crap puffing black smoke and running real rich, then died. I got it started again and I tapped the outside of the ECU case and the engine started jumping all over the place, then it idled down a bit and I tapped the case again and the engine went nuts with the tachometer up to 2,500 and then eventually back down. I checked the 2 plugs on the ECU, started the car and tapped the case and same thing. I put another ECU in that I have from a 1986 Buick Park Ave with my stock chips in and the car started right up and idled perfectly. I tapped the outside of this ECU case and nothing. So now I swapped my Thrasher chip back in and took it for a pretty good run today and all is good.
